Flexvue release films are an essential component in many medical and electronic devices, including the latest touch screen products, as they preserve the cleanliness and surface characteristics of critical film layers and optically clear adhesives.
Release Films Designed to Meet Your Unique Requirements
Flexvue™ release films are the clear choice for use with pressure sensitive adhesive and cast film product applications where consistency of release is critical. All our films are produced in an environmentally controlled clean room environment to help ensure quality and the highest level of cross web and run-to-run consistency.
We offer contaminant and scratch-free release coatings on a variety of substrates, primarily PET from 0.5 to 14 mils (12 to 350 microns), as well as BOPP films. Two-sided and differential coatings are available on films 1.5 to 5 mils (36 to 125 microns) and thicker. In addition to standard release films, Flexvue films also offer a variety of specialized releases, including:
- Fluorinated silicone release liners are made utilizing a thermally cured fluorinated polysiloxane system to provide excellent release properties for pressure-sensitive adhesives and materials.
- Low extractable silicone liners provide a clear, consistent release coating with practically zero extractable silicones, are specially engineered to meet exacting standards and include UV12, UV30 and UV50 liners.
- Non-silicone release films were developed for use in demanding applications where an optically-clear, contaminant-free and scratch-free release coating, with very low to no silicone transfer, is important.
- UV-cured silicone films were developed to meet the exacting requirements for medical applications, including drug delivery systems and diagnostic devices - these highly specialized films are FDA approval pending.
